interesting the MPFlag stuff in the visual effects ini is'n't just extra stuff it's actually a short flag.

found in the static mesh browser after opening game objects classes (dunno if thats a must but it's what I did)


and where did you find that menu in the editor on the flag properties?

Updated OP with new information about this project. for some feed back on your edit, perhaps do away with the inventory stations all together, and just have resupply stations. and perhaps allow the flag in light cycles. if not then there are territory game modes all ready, as well as the race mode ...

Just to clarify, both the FlagFX and FlagFXsmoke aliases are attached to the root bone of the flag's skeletal mesh, that point is right on the flag pole in the exact middle point of the flag. The offset controls distance from this location. The y=15 offset on the smoke raises the emitter up 15 unit...

I like the way you edited this one better than your other 2, fun footage =D

I also released a full weapon skin pkg, and another set with black and white tracers for everything, they are both posted on the forums. both have all the weapons skinned

ok soooo I adde these lines in the visualeffects.ini and had no changes to the flag. Except on the BE flag. I load up 20-30 sec after map already started , on all the other map packs usually about 10sec before it starts. It's not really bothering me , but still a weird issue with the mappack ^ now thats real feed back the only difference I see is the texture formats, argb is a larger, cleaner more detail...

I have been noticing very long loading times for the REV maps. What is different from the other map packs? Might it be that the .mopp files are inside a "Havok" folder instead of "HavokData" or anything related? HighDive the maps shouldnt work what soever if you put them in a havok folder..we well ...

I think thee may be in the future, like when you and I are done iwth the game someone will come along nad want to and a proper tutorial encompassing all the aspects of it would be a super helpful thing for them

on HL you still got the graphic bug which accurs when zooming in from BE base towards the middle of the map. that can only be cause by the building itself and I have never seen where or how it occurs without that knowledge I cannot do anything, next itme it happens to you take a screen shot of wher...

some screenshots would be nice , I like to know what I download before fucking up my game by trying to tweak it ( as my luck with TV goes ) eventually, they arn't as clean looking as I wish but the CG and sniper rounds are awesome (only need the weapons pkg replaced) as well as the buckler..outside...

The engine can't really do that, you can only fake it with env maps. I believe newer engines do it the same way, they just fake it better by using camera actors and scripted textures. Either way, not a big deal for this map. The effect is supposed to look like we're in a 1982 rendering engine, lol....

wiat how did you get the reflection on the wheel of the blue one...there has to be a cube map on it right? OR thats a light smear from a light actor somewhere Yeah, the black parts have a texenvmap/cubemap on them. I read somewhere that this engine is in deed capable of reflections, thats why I ask...

I have a question how do you duplicate classes and mesh and such right to a new pkg without adding them to a level? I have not found an option for it but I have also only looked once...
